For your consideration: a vinyl collection of 47 Beatle albums which includes 26 Beatles (as a group) albums and 21 Beatle solo albums (not counting the 2 offspring bonus albums). All but a few of these are one owner and in very good (VG) condition or better.
All the Capitol releases are rainbow labels unless noted. All first issues are noted (on some I wasn't sure). All but a few of the group albums were bought by me within days of their release. More than a few times I walked 4 miles each way to the big store rather than wait a few hours for a ride. Typical Beatle fan. The notation I make (C) is for the C price code stamped on the back cover as purchased from EJ Korvettes. They stamped this code directly on the back of the jacket (I don't believe that albums were shrink wrapped in those days). Another strange code abbreviation I use here is SWOC, which means "shrink wrap on cover." If possible, I liked to leave the shrink wrap on the cover to preserve the cover. It worked to some extent. Those albums that still have the shrink show a reflection of the tripod. Grading is record/cover. I feel the gradings are conservative, choosing to downgrade a notch (+ or -) rather than to mis-grade. More notes on this collection and these thumbnail photos follow the album listings. Included are:
Meet the Beatles! (January 20, 1964) Original mono, T2047 Capitol, VG+/G, record has a few light sleeve scratches, cover has some deterioration on back side from sticking to another album, some splitting on spine near title. 2nd pressing of 1/8/64: Publishing credits on the labels show ASCAP for all songs except "I Want To Hold Your Hand (BMI). Produced by George Martin is omitted from back cover. (C) Ad sleeve.
Introducing the Beatles (July
22, 1963) Original mono (VJLP-1062), purchased in 1964 as soon as the craze hit.
M-/VG+. Column back cover (MC1A), Please Please Me (no comma), with EJ
Korvette's price code (C) stamped on back cover, slight 1 1/2" split in seam at
bottom right opening, otherwise clean. Album is incredible, having 1 light inch
and a half sleeve inserting scratch on side 2, otherwise it would have been
mint. Pressing is ARC 2144/2154 (Allentown, PA) and is Longplaying (1
word) version (MR2D(i). Real nice.

back cover, VG+/VG Ad sleeve.

able to be cleaned off. Includes VG+ undisturbed cutout page. Red & white
design sleeve.

Both sides of the 2nd album are VG+. The cover is G- at best, being tanned with
ripped seams at the tops of both sides of the gatefold, once scotch taped, which
also wore out. The labels are of the original issue, which include spellings:
Obladi Oblada, Bungalow Bill, Revolution No. 1, Revolution No. 9, Goodnight.
Missing the 4 photos. The poster is F (Fair) as it is complete, but barely held
together at the folds. This could be why I got myself a nice clean UK copy.

Back in 1993 a friend, who was also a serious Beatle collector/seller, came to visit me at my house. I used to call him "M.T." (not his real name, but just in case he is reading this ...). Anyway, he raved how well kept most of my Beatle collection was and offered to buy it. At that time (in that great economy) I hardly needed money and declined. Back then, in the pre-eBay days, this collection would have easily sold for over $1,000 or more (maybe much more).
This eBay ad was created in HTML. I'm not sure if the pictures, which are thumbnails on the web page, will open to larger pictures in the eBay listing. If they don't, you can also access the same exact text and photos (thumbnails which blow up to huge high rez photos) at http://www.ebay.wolfdreams.org/beatles.htm. About the thumbnails: if you are using Windows XP, the larger photos should have another enlargement button in the bottom right hand corner, which makes the pictures HUGE (it's there ... fish around for it, you'll find it). Any questions, write to me at sbk4028@aol.com.
Thanks to both the Frank Daniels Beatles albums site and to the eskimo site (for notes on Introducing) for advancing my knowledge of Beatle records. All pictures are of the original album covers, etc., except the Wonderwall insert, which I noticed later and borrowed. You are all welcome to any of my photos for any reason ... after all, what am I going to do with them?
